Won't work if you've registered GV with anything other than gmail. Recommend that you leave the user id field alone if you detect an ' ' sign in the user id field so that you don't end up with [email protected] for a user id. Is this correct? Ahh, I see. Yes those are going to be harder for 3rd party apps to support natively. Not all these are available thru APIs. I just purchased the full version after trying the trial for about an hour. I got the push working through gv but the application keeps giving me a message that it is on a trial but is receiving pushes. Is there something I can do to remove the message? I believe you are still using the trial version. If you downloaded the freetalk free version then when purchasing, it downloads a different app which you will have to use.

Please check to see if you see 2 free talk apps in your applicaton list. This is normal. Is there a setting to turn on,for google voice to notify me of a new text? I have to check to see if I have any new text messages. I would like to hear a sound or something to know of a new text message.

This is available on paid version only. When I place an outgoing call my own phone is ringing instead! It is like FreeTalk is calling itself. Has anyone seen this? Any ideas what is the cause or how to solve it? I figured it out, FreeTalk is calling my phone first and if I pickup, then the call to the target number is placed. It is as if FreeTalk conferences the two numbers in.

No notification or live tile update. For now, service is free and I will try to maintain it that way but there is a possibility that it may be charged or discontinued at later point.

I meant the push notification part. BTW, you can try the application free, see if it works per your expectation. Please note, google voice doesn;t support direct phone calls over wi-fi. I have the PAID version of this app, and live tile updates and notifications do not work.

I also setup notifications in the account settings. I hope you can figure this out. And I am assuming you have selected the option in the app to receive push notifications. As long as in Google voice you Adelaide forwarding to gmail and have proper filter defined, you should get notifications. So have you figured it out or going to make a fix for this? One other thing…. I cannot get push notifications to work consistently. They work for a while, then they stop working.

The new version is no better than the last. Do you stop getting notifications or you get it sometimes but not always? They just stop working and I get no notifications. So first off i downloaded this thinking it would send things over WiFi and not require my cellular service.

Its good for free SMS and international calling. The screenshots are different because in the latest updatei changed the ux to reduce thenumberof clicks to do certain things.

For notifications, you need to follow the steps in account settings and make sure that filters are setup properly. You can also use auto configuration and it should do everything. The app DOES work and, by all intents and purposes, works well for me. I really like the functionality and features. Then I did the one-time gvmax setup, retried test SMS, still no notifications. Please help, thx.

App works great for me. I have a question about the new required settings. Also the explanations are not very clear. The wifi calling is not available by google voice. Regarding calling options they do remember but does not autonselect the options.

If you notice at the bottom it does say what you selected. But going back will update it to you current selection. Please email me directly with any answers. When you login, the app should ask you to finish your initial setup.

Basically it let you specify your forward number and calling option preference. You can select this option from main page app bar. I will look into this. After setting up the push notification, the app crashes on start-up intermittently.

Can you please help? Yeah, sorry about that. I am aware of the issue and it will be fixed in the next version of the app. Seems to be authentication problem. Also I get a toast notification sometimes that token is not available. I have the app pinned to the start screen. Is the number on the top right hand corner a notification of the number of message received? The number should reset afrer you opened the app.

I am looking to purchasing a windows phone 7. Currently I use an Android phone and the only thing tying me down to android is that I get all my SMS through google voice. Obviously, forwarding a GV number to any phone is easy, but what I am concerned about is outgoing calls. I was impressed; I thought only the official app would be capable of that. That leaves me with one question. Is there a way to make the free talk dialer the default dialer?

Such that my call histories and such are managed by free talk, and not what comes default on WP7. If not, is there a way to make the WP7 dialer use the predetermined routing numbers and keep to freetalk for the SMS component?

Thanks for trying. No, windows phone doesnt allow to change default dialer. You could probably use the routing numbers and call thru default dialer. Ive totally lost live tile update number count on tile.

I love the new live tile but its not updating. Thanks for changing the Tile to match the accent colors!!! I have removed all filters and created new ones……but the live tile is still not working.

Push notifications have stopped working completely they used to work. Kind of makes the app useless to me…. Please fix or this app is useless. Thank you. Wondering why receiving SMS is not free?

I have no problem sending and receiving SMS using the app. But receiving SMS shows on my Verizon bill. This is probably because in your google voice settings, you have it configured to send SMS remidner. I installed free and trial version, the interface is different to the screen shots — no panorama, no key pad.

I am having trouble with the push notification. I get the text but never get notified that I have a text. I have to open up the free talk application to see the text message. I have Gmax set up per the instructions and I have push notification checked on the application itself.

I uninstalled the application and installed it again but that did not help either. I started with the free version and quickly upgraded to the paid version. Is that function available? Also on my wish list is the integration of your app into the main dialer so that calls and txts can be initiated through the native dialer with histories, etc available.

After adding photo to Google voice contacts on the site. Like Feng commented about using minutes , mine uses phone minutes too. What are the correct settings phone end and Google Voice end to make true Voip calls? Google voice talk free used my mins was not free u used mins thinking it was going to be free like the app said.

SMS works on data. I was loosing my minutes by using this app, my service was suspended due to non payment and I tried to use this app but was not able to use it.

Both reasons show that this app is no free talk but uses cell service and uses your minutes. After and before making call I checked my minutes , I found I lost minutes.

I recently bought a Sirius XM buddy app for my Windows phone and down loaded it. It then sent a media content message error and would not play anything. I then retried again a short time later and now it wont even let me log in and try. What can I do to fix this or did I just get taken for a couple of dollars? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting somewhere I missed, or is there a workaround to make this software retain my info and log me in without me having to retype my email and password dozens of times a day? If I get a voicemail I have to start FreeTalk and sign in just to see if there was a message. Also, when making international calls, the call can go thru google voice resulting in lower per minute charges. All this depends on how you want to use. Hello, FreeTalk is a google voice client and require users to have a google voice account.

Currently its only available in select countries inlcuding US. Users can also make cheap international calls using googles callback mechanmism. I have download the trial version of this software ,when I open it,shows to sign in but I have to sign up first. There is no option for sign up ,so plz tell me how sign up. After I log in it gives me an error message that setting cannot be received to set up acct.

If so, please help, I am interested in your app. You should be able to use over WIFI for text but for phone calls, you need cell phone service as google calls you back when connecting calls. On the Freetalk tile, message counter does not reset after checking the messages.

So I am up to the count of 48 right now. I have uninstalled and installed once already. How should i solve this issue? Have the Lumia and freetalk installed, but the badge count is not reporting correctly.

Says I have 3 new messages, but there are 0. Your app has developed a critical error that makes it unusable now. When sending texts to someone, it often sends it to the wrong person. This can be disastrous. Usually, its to the person whose text you just read before…but not always. I paid for this app, and can no longer use it due to this.

Please make this a priority for fixing.
