Jaxson Dart took a crushing hit, getting sandwiched between two Cal players with left in the third quarter. Dart was clearly woozy as he was helped off the field. On the next play, Dart threaded a pass to Kyle Ford and he pulled it in with mostly open field ahead of him. He rumbled into the end zone and USC hit the extra point to take a lead with left in the second quarter. Korey Foreman delivered a highlight play for the USC defense before the first quarter ending, dropping Cal quarterback Chase Garbers for a five-yard loss.

Longhetto moved five yards closer and connected on a yard field goal to give Cal a lead with left in the first quarter. Quarterback Jaxson Dart and the offense moved the ball 41 yards before the drive stalled and they turned to Lewis for the long field-goal attempt. USC looking short-handed tonight.
